How's the game going? I hope it's going easily :)
Aaawww it's going good. Thank you very much : - ]
That's good :) . You're welcome, have a nice day :).
Also...Can i ask you something. Can you add me on discord? cause I don't use Itch.io that much, so I probably won't see it when you send it to me. My username is Swordman491, Please tell me yours just in case if some random people I don't know adds me
My apologies my discord is personal : - )
Thank you for asking though!
ok, I understand
Also, is there any other way of contacting you? I don't open Itch.io that much, twice a month, and rarely more than 4.
Unfortunately not, but thank you for reaching out!
Anything? Like discord? or Instagram, or anything
Hey, can i ask a question? i forgot if i asked this before, but what app do you use to code games, if you can't tell me that, can you somehow teach me how to code stuff? (this is the alt account for 499 (also I ussually make 491 before 499, but i accidently made 499 as the first one, which is now blocked) ). Please reply :)
I use Unity and I find it to be a fairly robust engine for game development. I am too busy to teach you directly, but if you would like I can link you to helpful resources that are either general or specific for a specific type of game : - )
That will be nice too, thanks :)
So sorry for the late response, I have been mad busy working on Clown Meat! I'd recommend starting with Unity and this Brackey's series of tutorials. They're a bit old, but they should still work with the newer versions.
Some important notes:
1. Work on incredibly small games for a good while until you get a solid grip on the skillsets (think pong or even smaller).
2. Learn from the tutorials and don't simply copy them. Whenever following along with some of these step by step guide it's important that you try to understand exactly what everything you're doing is accomplishing. If you copy a line of code you should understand what that specific line is doing.
3. Go easy on yourself. Game development is a complicated process and you won't be able to understand it in a day. Making a little bit of progress at a time will get you where you want to go. Game development is intimidating, but it's very achievable, so don't psych yourself out.
If you have anymore specific questions feel free to ask, though I won't be able to teach you directly or anything : - )
It's alright, I can wait for your messages :). Also is there any other ways for us to message, cause I'm not always on itch.io. if there is, please tell me, even if it is anything like WhatsApp Facebook or Snapchat.
Also, please tell me when clown meat is releasing, cause I don't use my computer that much now, so I have no idea when the game releases. Please tell me when it does, ok? Thanks 🤗
Can i ask a question?
Do you need to buy the game clown meat? because my dad or mom wont buy it for me
You will have to buy Clown Meat on release, but the demo is currently out on steam right now for free : - )
Aww. I'll try get a gift card for steam to buy it :)
Aww that is so sweet of you, but please just message when the game comes out and I'll get you a code. I've really appreciated your support. I think you may be the only person I know who is a fan of my work generally rather than just a specific project. It means a lot : - )
thanks, and i do love your games, they're really good. :)
I hope many people will play the game, (i'll be one of them :) )
That means so much : - )
I hope you enjoy it!

Aww, thank you so much! It's really nice to hear from you! I've been hard at work on my next major project with ItsTheTalia called ClownMeat. It should be getting a steam release sometime next year. How have you been yourself? Hope you have a nice day too : - )
I had a nice day thanks, and my keyboard keys don't work except dfjkl and enter, so I can only play simple games. I hope lots of people play your game :)
I'm glad to hear. Thank you! That's so sweet of you to say : - }
I'll be waiting for your game, bye :
That makes me happy : - )

Anytime friend : - ]
i love your game so much but... can you add a button to delete the progress or replay it
That's so sweet of you : - )
In my projects going forward I'll be sure to add a dedicated button, but for Thrombolo if you hold the delete key for a few seconds on the main menu it should reset your progress.
Thank you for reaching out!
I love the world and art, especially the creative use of large characters as platforms. I just wish there was a bit more oomph to the platforming. I found myself frequently falling into pits because I assumed my jump was better than it was. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the jump height was a bit higher, or the movement speed was a bit faster, but I understand if the player being weak is part of the narrative.
Thank you for the feedback Ben! I'm glad to hear that you liked the use of characters as platforms because that was one of my favorite parts to work on. I absolutely agree with what you said about the platforming. When making this game I overdid it on the precision and it's something I've learned for future games. Much appreciated : - )
Just beat this game, I love it. I really love this game. I loved Yolkspire and I love this game. I'm just a sucker for precision platformers. :]
It's great to hear that you enjoyed both Thrombolo and Yolkspire! Thank you for the kind words! It means more than you could know : - )
This... I mean, the world is so wacky. I like it though, and the challenges, they got my myocardium working faster. :)
Thanks for sticking around! I definitely saw a lot of playtesters that got their myocardium working faster as well, so it's a pleasure to see that you got as far as you did ; - )
I love the message of the game. It's not your typical "get to the end of the level" platformer. In every single second of the game, you feel like you're working toward something. Something meaningful.
The visuals are great. Art is simple but clean, and that's a good thing. Colors make it easy to understand what's safe and what's not. Animation is simple, but still makes the world feel like it's not stagnant. Like it's... real.
The worldbuilding makes the game feel surprisingly immersive. I enjoyed each and every different area, and the personalities of the people, which differs from area to area--progressing and seeing the world changing, leaving people behind and meeting new ones, really sells the fact that you're not there to stay, and just "passing through". It makes it feel as if you're making progress and doing something productive.
Overall, well done.
BTW: Who's Mikey?
Thank you very much! It means a lot that you enjoyed it and I really appreciate you telling me!
p.s. Mikey's identity is a secret ; - )
Thank you for giving my game a try! I unfortunately have no clue what the issue is, but I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. : )
Made another video
Thanks for playing the whole way through! You guys did pretty good time. I had some playtests that lasted four hours. I hope the end wasn't too frustrating, but I really appreciate that you made it to the end. :-O
The game was difficult at times and the glitches didn't make it any easier but we enjoyed our time climbing the mountain to the top
Made a video
👀
Also are one of you potatoface72? I can't tell if it's a wild coincidence that both of the comments here right now are potato themed.
So far we are just Spudcats
Wack
its the best itch .io game ever
Thank you : - )
